The main lines of research
Technofan applies a policy of continuous research and development on its core activities : aerodynamics, acoustics, mechanics, electric motors, power elect ronics and motor control software.Technofan uses 3D design tools, constantly upscaled, for design calculations on the different parts of the equipment. These tools use the most cutting edge technology currently available.
Technofan must also respond to the current technological changes related to the "more electric" aircraft. Indeed, the abandonment by aircraft manufacturers of the 200 volt 400Hz fixed frequency network on jumbo jets has resulted in the rise of new specialist trades for Technofan, such as power electronics and software.
